Lionel Hollins back in Memphis Helping Out the Community!

Good Evening from Upper Darby!

As a Blackman that has been battling high blood pressure for the last 6-years, my reading today was 122/76, which is FUCKIN-GREAT! I've had to work my ass off to get my blood pressure down and keep it down. Exercise, eating BETTER, and more exercise and yoga have helped. However? I'm not keen on this REPACKAGING of high blood pressure into the tame sounding "hypertension". It reeks of White People being up to something, as usual. It's like? You hear someone say "I have high blood pressure."
And you're like "Damn!? You better put that fuckin pig's-foot down then."
-_-
I hate pig's-foot.
Seriously.
I have beaten Black People over the head with their own pig's-foot.
It ain't pretty. But it IS EFFECTIVE!

But seriously, you hear high blood pressure, you know that this person is in serious danger of a stroke, heart attack, etc!
But then...? >_< Sigh, bring on the White-Shenanigans and now high blood pressure magically delicious turns into, TA-DAH!

Hypertension.
Tch, what the fuck!? Hypertension? That shit makes it sound like you didn't eat enough cantaloupes or lemon water, what the fuck!? They make it sound like you need to go see a fuckin SHRINK and they'll calm you the fuck down. It sounds more like a MENTAL AILMENT than a SERIOUS, DEBILITATING, PHYSICAL AILMENT... that WILL KILL YOU. Dead. Well? NEVER FEAR CUZ COACH HOLLINS IS HERE!
Lionel Hollins has been spreading the word about hypertension, which is the new White Code-word for High Blood Pressure. -_- Ahhhhh, White People, or at least!? White People in power. I gotta love how they will take something where you know when you hear it, you'll be like "DAMN!? I certainly don't want any of THAT SHIT!"
Then when it starts causing problems for WHATEVER White Collar scheme-or-scam the White Educated Elites have, they then turn around and they DOWNGRADE THE ISSUE. By changing the words around into something more...!? Frilly. And DISMISSIVE. Oh you have hypertension, stage-1. Or you have hypertension, stage-2.
-_-
And I have?
FUSION-CANNON!
FOR YOU!
STOP FUCKIN MEDDLING AROUND WITH SHIT TO DISARM PEOPLE AWAY FROM THE FUCKIN SERIOUSNESS OF THE FUCKIN AILMENT-N-ISSUE! ASSHOLES!
^_^
Here is the article.
I could use... A Naughty Black-Nurse, oh yesssss.... HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA! What!? I thought it was FUNNY!
Fine go read then!

Lionel Hollins Helping Spread Hypertension Awareness in Memphis

By Don Wade

It would come as little surprise to learn that Lionel Hollins has hypertension now. He is, after all, a 61-year-old working in the high stress position of NBA head coach.
But Hollins, former coach of the Memphis Grizzlies and current coach of the Brooklyn Nets, learned he had high blood pressure when he was in his 20s and was an NBA player himself.
“With me, it was hereditary. My grandmother had it, sister had it,” said Hollins, who is the campaign spokesperson for the Healthy Shelby’s free hypertension awareness event this Saturday, June 6. “Physically, I was in the best shape of my life.”
Men in Motion: Men’s Health Expo, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 2835 Broad Ave. Participants will have the opportunity to meet Hollins, play a little 3-on-3 basketball, have blood pressure screenings, and participate in family-friendly activities while learning how to better manage hypertension.
The event is part of Healthy Shelby’s 140/90: Living Life Under Pressure campaign that seeks to encourage residents to take charge of their own health. That’s what Hollins did, remaining dedicated to taking his medication and avoiding complications despite decades of working in a stressful environment that includes much travel and a lot of emphasis on winning.
Hollins also knows the importance of getting the message out, especially to this audience. In Shelby County, more than one-third of residents have high blood pressure. And in a recent study of “hot spots,” Memphis ranked No. 1 among the 50 largest metropolitan areas. African Americans are more likely to have high blood pressure than Caucasians or Mexican-Americans, and they tend to develop it at an earlier age; that puts them at increased risk for heart disease, stroke, congestive heart failure and kidney disease. ( I WONDER WHY THAT IS!? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!!! At such a YOUNG AGE, too, sooooooooooh, perplexing...!?)
“No question, that’s what we want to do,” Hollins said of spreading awareness. “Get young, Memphis, African-American men to get themselves checked out and take care of it. It is a silent killer.”
This past season, Hollins guided the Nets to the No. 8-seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs and they were defeated in the first round by the No. 1-seed Atlanta Hawks. He will be watching the NBA Finals, which start Thursday, June 4, and pit LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers against reigning league MVP Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
“I think it’s gonna be a great series,” Hollins said. “One team (Golden State) is probably as versatile of a team as we’ve had in the league since the Showtime Lakers. On the other side they’ve got one of the greatest players in the history of the league and they’re physical defensively.”
The narrative this postseason has been about offense with Curry and fellow guard Klay Thompson leading the charge with a barrage of 3-pointers. Hollins, however, said defense will still have a say. While acknowledging defensive ratings that had the Warriors first throughout the regular season have merit, he believes they are not the only barometers and that the Cavs are better defensively than some people think.
“Sometimes you’re not as good as the ratings say and sometimes you’re not as bad as the ratings say,” Hollins said, adding, “It still comes down to matchups. Who’s gonna guard Thompson and Curry and keep them from going crazy? Who’s gonna guard LeBron and be on the ball with Kyrie Irving? And can your role players get you over the hump?”
