Hello everyone, I wanted to send you some very important information.
You may or may not know that right now, the largest prison worker strike in American history is taking place. African American families are disproportionately impacted by the mass incarceration epidemic in America, and I think it is incredibly important that we stand with the individuals who are fighting against this corrupt, racist and chaotic system.
I am not exactly sure why, but mainstream media is not paying any attention to these matters, as many inmates are being beaten, raped and tortured, with the abuse only getting worse because they are refusing to work for $1 a day.
You can get more information by visiting this link. I hope that you will share the story and tell everyone you know. Yarima Karama spent over 20 years in this system and he does a nice story on the topic in Your Black World News.
If you are connected with any of the organizers of the strikes, please email me back and contact my manager so I can see how I can help in the fight for human rights being undertaken by our brothers and sisters behind bars.
Please take care and have a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
Dr Boyce Watkins
