Voyager 1 & ACTUAL Human-space travel in Real Life + an "Interesting-convo" about one of My Star Wars-based ideas....

Two-weeks ago I had a sit-down with a dayjob-coworker who is a sci-fi fantasy & comics-fan. And We talked specifically about Star Wars & what it was then & what it has become now. I then decided to talk with Him about WHAT HE THOUGHT SHOULD OR COULD BE DONE, to make it better...?

So he laid out some of his own ideas but was pretty straight-forward that His Ideas were pretty run-of-the-mill. So of course he then asked Me about My Ideas. And as We talked he pointed out that I had a really good grasp of POTENTIAL-IDEAS that could be used. Where We then talked about the Book of Boba Fett & then even talked about how could Return of the Jedi BEEN BETTER than what it was!

It was at this point that I started talking about My Own Takes that I have up on WE3, regarding both how the Book of Boba Fett SHOULD HAVE GONE, and!?

How Return of the Jedi SHOULD HAVE GONE.

So We're talking about that & then I tell Him about the last ACTUAL ORIGINAL-CONCEPT I'd come up with for Star Wars where these were/are, CHARACTERS I CREATED. Where the setting is of course Post-Return of the Jedi AND ACTUALLY BEYOND THE SEQUEL-TRILOGY AS WELL...!

As I'm explaining this to Him he then tells Me that HE THINKS THE IDEA IS GOOD ENOUGH TO BE PACKAGED & THEN SOLD TO DISNEY-STAR WARS.

Another dayjob-coworker comes along & joins the convo & says the same thing!

So this leads up to RIGHT NOW.

I've been looking over the Munificent-class star-frigate from Star Wars, which is a CIS-ship from the Prequel-Era of the Clone Wars.

Just like I've done in the Past when I've highlighted how Star Wars tends to BADLY DOWNPLAY thee ACTUAL ABILITIES of enemy-ships especially!

Well?

The Munificent was/is, NO DIFFERENT.

The capabilities of this star-frigate was/is, RIDICULOUS!!!!!

The Wookieepedia-entry for this ship has a claim that the ion-cannons on this ship could, IN SOME INSTANCES, fire at targets from ACROSS A STAR SYSTEM!!!!!

In Star Wars a Star-system is the word they use for Solar-system.

Now...?

Let that SINK IN.

Where I didn't see a QUOTED-SOURCE FOR THIS KIND OF RANGE, but!?

The Munificent DOES HAVE TWO MAIN-REACTORS, meaning it IS POSSIBLE for one of these to sit somewhere WITHIN A STAR-SYSTEM.

Use its CONSIDERABLE sensors/scanners array!

Target something WITHIN THE STAR-SYSTEM.

Use BOTH REACTORS to charge up the ion-cannons.

THEN FIRE THEM AT THE TARGET!!!!!

Now in the midst of looking at this I looked up & found the Fact that it takes between 12 to 72-hours for a ship IN STAR WARS, using ONLY IT'S SUBLIGHT-ENGINES. 

To travel from the sun at the center of a star-system to that star-systems FURTHEST LIMITS...!!!!!

This ties into the Header of this post where Voyager-1 IN REAL LIFE!?

Was sent INTO SPACE IN 1977 on September 5th!

It took 35-YEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, before it FINALLY LEFT OUR SOLAR-SYSTEM, which means OUR TECHNOLOGY AIN'T SHIT IN REGARDS TO STELLAR-PROPULSION!!!!!

In the Star Wars-universe THEIR SHIPS can get through THEIR SOLAR-SYSTEMS within 12 to 72-HOURRRRRRRSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

Meanwhile in Real Life it takes fuckin 35-FUCKIN YEARRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
