I'm getting there.
Slowly.
But surely.
For starters...?
Here is the redone MADtronix Insignia-Symbol
More importantly?
I just finished redoing Krystal Ellis's face.
I didn't like the original face because quite frankly it looked to much like Carla from the Plantation-Station. And while I was most definitely physically attracted to Carla. Carla is nuttier than a fruit bar and subject to mood swings without warning. Something that frankly I'm going to be avoiding from women until I'm dead in the ground.
So I just finished redoing her face, but as usual I have a collection of music that I sit down and pick through that allows me to VISUALIZE better, whatever I'm drawing. Again. I'm still rusty as hell. And I'm not being modest nor exaggerating. When I am ACTUALLY ACTIVE AS AN ARTIST I can draw just about ANYONE. I drew an ACCURATE POSTER OF MOUNT RUSHMORE IN 6TH GRADE!
However, in typical fashion for those who still believe that race doesn't matter and THE PAST, is the Past.
My artistic talents weren't really pushed because of the fact that Whites drove Aunt Shirley crazy. And as usual, nobody was held accountable for it.
While I was sitting down drawing this piece out.
I thought about Aunt Shirley and the fact that My Mother just kept saying over and over how incredibly talented she was and how incredibly nice and naive she was.
Which is how they were able to drive her insane.
I type all of this to say.
That the character of Krystal Ellis is a MAD-Chambermaid.
And MAD-Chambermaids have a very NARROW EXISTENCE, as you can see by the fact that their names already have their function included in it.
What makes Krystal unique is the fact that once she was assigned to Tansoba Ellis. She made it clear to him when he came of age at 7, that she didn't want to just be a Chambermaid-type. And of course, since their had been plenty of MAD-Chambermaid who'd said the same things long before she did. She had to learn and figure out for herself, thanks to Tansoba's own questioning and tests and tasks!
How to go about doing that.
Without upsetting HIS apple-cart, straight from the start.
Here is the music I was listening to while I did her NEW, face. Because it fit. And as I was drawing her face. I thought about My Aunt Shirley. Because the music, for what it is worth, fit. Understand this, I don't care about the original intent of the music or video. All I care about is what IT ALLOWS ME TO SEE. AND WHY.
Nothing more.
And nothing less....
