Good Evening from PHILADELPHIA!
Just finished typing four pages for Byron's Road through GLA. This short-story will be told from the perspective of Gabrielle-Gabriella. Who is in charge of Recruitment-Admissions of GLA, which was and still is, an Imperial American Counterstrike school that accepts boys who have tested positive for human modification for superhuman abilities. However!?
GLA, Glen Loch Academy, is meant for the recruitment of boys who come from families, places, etc throughout the empire that may not necessarily be people they'd want to give superhuman abilities to, for various reasons.
So the GLA's job is to indoctrinate the boys through brainwashing and programming, to make sure they will remain loyal and can then be given the human modification program where they graduate with superhuman abilities and move on to the next phase of training, etc.
But those who prove to be unable to be brainwashed and indoctrinated, are terminated, literally. Their families are also exterminated as well. Of course the entire extermination of the family members takes place as the circumstances and situations call for them. Which means a nosy father may well eat it IMMEDIATELY! While a passive-aggressive mother may be poisoned over time with the help of her own family doctor slowly killing her.
Throughout all of this Gabrielle-Gabriella, like the rest of the GLA's ARC-Mang faculty-n-staff, are charged with carrying out this process. Bioengineered to be loyal, they are Zero-ARCs and have done their jobs with great efficiency and accolades. Under normal circumstances, getting an ARC who has been bioengineered to be loyal to turn traitor? Is something that requires the person in question to have a specific set or type of powers. Usually biological in nature, some matter related powers and of course psionic powers that can effectively affect an ARCs emotions and mind. Byron, at the time, was not known to have any psionic abilities that would allow for such things and that was because his psionic-ability to do such a thing is passive in nature, thus!?
It went undetected.
The bottom line is I just typed 4 pages where Gabriella is recounting how Byron got past them and got to where he is now.
