Allen Iverson, My 76ers, and a Quick Look in the Rearview Mirror

Good Evening from Upper Darby!
Decided to post this and a few other basketball videos because its SUN-DAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
I was fortunate enough to be alive for the Iverson Era of 76ers Basketball as well as the Dr. J and Charles Barkley Era of 76ers Basketball! The Iverson-Era Uniforms, Arena and Colors, will ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE! The last basketball game I bought was NBA2K13 because I was desperate to play some basketball on video games because my body is too beaten down to play basketball in real life anymore. Shout out once again to Thaddeus Young and His Family,
someone who should have gotten far more than he deserved when he was here and I appreciate the fact that for the limited time he was here under Brett Brown. People got a chance to see that had Thad been developed correctly he could have been a legitimate All Star, instead of simply being relegated to just get in where you fit in and we won't/don't run plays for him. Fuckin morons. Must everything always be fuckin spelled out when a diamond in the rough is found. I will always be a fan of his and even bizarre-ass-idiot, Evan Turner, HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAH! His ears are probably burning like "I don't care, fuck it!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! And Jrue Holiday. It never ceases to amaze and piss me off how much of Our Talent is blatantly wasted in the hands of Whites like Doug Collins and then the blatantly guilty White-offender gets to walk to a LUCRATIVE REWARD FOR FAILURE, ABANDONMENT AND DESERTION.
I'll dig into Doug Collins shitty-ass another day. But he had all the tools in talent, but none of the ability in coaching, aside from forcing parts that didn't fit when it was obvious. And then turning a blind-eye when he wanted to do things his way and it was clear it just wasn't gonna work.

As for NBA2K13? Iverson wasn't on this one, but I enjoyed using the 76ers the way that I KNOW THEY COULD HAVE WORKED, Andrew Bynum or no Andrew Bynum. I had no idea so many talented free agents were out there in 2012 and Doug Collins could give a fuck. From Nate Robinson to Andray Blatche, even Delonte West. It amazed me how Doug Collins avoided all of them and picked up Nick Young only. Then thought he'd be able to turn him into a defender. Nate Robinson and Andray Blatche had great years for the Bulls and Nets respectively. While Delonte West continues to suffer the LeBron James imposed ban from the NBA. However in this video game I could do whatever I wanted and did so. And in typical fashion for today's flash-n-trash, once I won the NBA Finals with the game on its hardest setting in my first go-'round, the Franchise Season Mode ended with NO ABILITY TO KEEP GOING BEYOND THAT YEAR.

Thus I say.
Fuck NBA2K.
I want real simulations and seasons, not this White Fad for the Moment of being obsessed with IMITATING bullshit-ass, Nigger-Basketball Players. And that's all "My Career Mode" is. White Fantasy and Safari about what it would be like to be a Nigger-Basketball Player, bling and all. >_< Shit is so fuckin obvious it's pathetic. No ability to control the team in franchise seasons, just ONE PLAYER, "career mode". With silly-shit involved. Definitely a Jay-Z production. When is his Bill Cosby moment coming, I won't miss his ass.

Of course we used all of the Iverson-Era logos, uni's and all of that. I will never forget NOR FORGIVE Ed Snider, the owner of the BIGOTED ASS FLYERS. Who orchestrated the demise of the Iverson-Era by first getting rid of Pat Croce and double-crossing him. Pat Croce is a Whiteman I honestly, RESPECT. Because he doesn't bullshit people. If all White People were like Pat Croce, faults an all, then the world would be a better place. When he PUBLICLY ADMITTED that he'd fucked up in his decisions to hire people and then had a GENUINE season ticket holder meeting and HONESTLY TOOK fans suggestions and listened!

When he stood out there on Broad Street, SOMETHING I NEVER SAW ANY PHILADELPHIA SPORTS TEAM OWNER, PRESIDENT, WHATEVER YOU WISH YOU TO CALL HIM. He stood out there and handed out hats and talked to fans and PERSONALLY WENT AROUND PHILADELPHIA AND TALKED TO RANDOM PEOPLE ON THE STREET! To get people BACK INTO THE 76ERS! He represented what it means to be from Philadelphia. Faults and all, we are a city of workers, whether it is sophisticated or simple, we work. We do NOT LIKE LIARS. REGARDLESS OF WHAT RACE. We DO NOT LIKE PHONIES. And Ed Snyder realized that by helping Croce buy the 76ers, he had fucked himself up. Because the Flyers QUICKLY FELL from out of the #2 spot of Philadelphia Sports Franchises and there wasn't shit to say. The Sixers during the Iverson-Era were QUICKLY GAINING on the Philadelphia Eagles and Iverson was far more beloved than Donovan McNabb.

Why do I type all of this?
Because Synder knew that if he wanted to regain his standing and get asses and attention back to his Flyers, he needed to get rid of Pat Croce. He also knew that with Croce GONE, he could finally drag all of Iverson's own fuck-up's out into the public, as if... we didn't already know them. But? With Croce in charge, Iverson had protection at the highest level, but with Synder coming in looking to disassemble the Sixers so he could regain His Flyers standing in the city, then? It was a done deal. I remember when Rasheed Wallace was a free agent and I was screaming for the Sixers to BRING HIM HOME TO PHILADELPHIA! He would have been PERFECT with Iverson, because Rasheed didn't shot much and wasn't OFFENSIVELY AGGRESSIVE LIKE THAT, BUT!? He COULD TAKE OVER A GAME IF THAT WAS WHAT WAS NEEDED! So he was PERFECT TO PLAY WITH IVERSON!

But instead he ends up IN DETROIT! And we got EXCUSES ALL THE WAY AROUND! It was then that I knew it was over. Larry Brown escaped to Detroit, Synder ALLOWED HIM TO LEAVE and we got NO COMPENSATION FOR IT AT ALL. Detroit then WINS THE NBA TITLE.

Iverson ultimately leaves Philadelphia and nothing happened until Derrick Rose blew out his knee and the Doug Collins coached 76ers had a chance that they took advantage of. Until Doug Collins reminded us all of the fact that he is Doug Collins. And then thankfully, his stupidity ended. All-in-all though, I will always look back favorably on the Iverson-Era and the fact that, faults and all? Iverson still got us to the Finals and always did everything he could to win games. Iverson is literally one of the most unsung superstars for spreading American Basketball globally, where even I had no idea he had AND STILL HAS, countless fans all across the globe who rooted for him no matter what! And I am one of those fans.

I guess part of the reason why I have typed this is because Darryl Dawkins died earlier this week. Either way, here is the video;
