Fans cheer when you WIN. So do coaches.
Fan BOO when you LOSE. A coach DOESN'T.
Fans find NEW people to support if you lose a championship.
A coach helps you make a COMEBACK after fans ABANDON you.
A player who wants fans when they really need a coach will eventually wind up with NEITHER.
