If given a choice between overthrowing a brutal system of oppression entirely or settling for an oppressor who's still brutal but doesn't insult you quite so much, most people would CHOOSE the latter and call it "progress."
Oppression ALWAYS requires some degree of complicity.
When you point out that both Biden and Trump are both bigots, and both have records of anti-black racism going back decades, if someone tells you, "Well one of them's going to win so you gotta choose one," your answer to that is also the answer to whether you want to be free.
