Chapter FourMala-Puyang
The massive cliff-encampments erected by the Ilvala over 8-years ago had completely enclosed the former capital of Lu Family-District of the BRT. Lu Family barely had enough time to get everyone from the outlying cities, towns and villages. Inside their capital-city before the Ilvala-Invasion devastated the rest of the BRT. Their hushed attempts to warn the other elder-families had gone unheeded, until it was too late. Some tried to implement what Lady-&-Lord Lu had tried to get them to do earlier. But they'd wasted over 2-centuries of time trying to rationalize and reason with a central government and ruling-line that had clearly decided that it was time to bring down the curtain on the vaunted Border-Region Territories of the Empire of Tae Khan Sai.
Now Lu City was continuing to fight on without fear knowing that at no time would any reinforcements ever come to help them. Ever. And they were okay with that, to an extent... to an extent. Even at this ungodly hour of the a.m. the semi-transparent shimmering bronze city-shields covering Lu City, were holding. Holding up all too-easy in fact. All too-easy and all too-steady against another fruitless full-scale air assault from Mala-Hoarde. For the last 3-days straight Dong-Mala has commanded her cliff-encampment supreme commanders to unleash their air-armies of Stampeders. In a vain-attempt to try to at least weaken or exhaust Lu City Defense Forces. But her plans were actually exhausting her own forces all the way across the board. She then deployed her Lightning to try to continue to wrest control over the local atmospheric conditions from Lu City's-MDS. These monstrously-beautiful, winged serpent-bodied bitches, have used every means that they know in a vain attempt to break Lu City's-MDS. While also having to contend with anti-air barrages of beams-&-blasts from the city below them! The Mala-Hoarde Lightning have been far more effective than the Stampeders. But the obviousness of their activity ultimately caused them to become bigger targets, than they already are. Never mind that it was exhausting work at every level for them. Dong-Mala herself began to realize by the end of the 2nd-night that the Sambari inside the city might be sitting on their asses on purpose just to let her take losses! So they could sneak out in the midst of the confusion when she attacked the city. Of course she was totally pissed by this, but couldn't do anything but put up with it, so!? She changed her objective today and simply had both her Stampeders-&-Lightning attack the city-shields, its defenses, and its defenders as best they could! She also tried to move her ginormous ground based Mammoths into position to start shelling the stockades. But that only made them targets for Lu City's long-range cutter-beams. So she ordered a withdrawal of all Mammoths and went back to focusing on constantly rotating her air-armies. She wanted to try to ride out whatever the Sambari were inside the city either waiting on or stalling with. She understood the massive risk that she was taking in doing this, she really didn't have any choice in the matter either way. It wasn't like she even wanted to be here in the first place and she'd done everything she could to try to avoid being deployed here. Until she was finally forced into it by Ilvala-Empress Aramoor. The Supreme Ruler of the Ilvala of Old Adari Empire. For the last 8-months Dong-Mala had been smashing her hoarde against this massive nightmare of a city. Where she had seen more than enough holo-com images and stills of it to know. What she was facing now was nothing like what it originally was less than a 100-years ago. It is ridiculously bigger and literally wider! Than the physical-features files they had back in Ilvala. It's forces were now far more defensively-trained and oriented. Never mind that they'd somehow been able to abandon the entirety of Lu Family-District in such a skilled fashion that they thwarted the surprise attack element of the Ilvala-Invasion all together. Neither Empress Aramoor or her War-Department would explain to her just how the hell Lu Family was able to pull this off!? Let alone know that the invasion was coming in the first place!? Dong-Mala had tried in vain to get Empress Aramoor and her senior hoarde-members to look at the fact that they even knew the exact day that the invasion was to take place on!? How did they know that!? She never got her answer on that either, which pissed her off! All she got instead was her marching-orders and even before Mala-Melina and Mala-Tulane told her, she knew they were orders of death. Even as the overcast night sky lit up with lightning and poured down rain in intense outbursts! Only to abruptly stop so that the pale bright moon hanging overhead could show the continued carnage playing out beneath it. Dong-Mala knew the day Aramoor gave her these orders was the day that her and her hoarde were intentionally being sent off to die! Even right now, risking their necks and trying to stall, they were once again being set-up to fail by their own fuckin people! Her and her senior officers were reaching their limits on all fronts because of it. Over-&-over Mala-Melina and Mala-Tulane were in Her Ear constantly letting her know that there was no way that Their Hoarde would be able to survive an encounter with the last stable city left in the BRT, while having a milpol-crisis on their hands back in Ilvala where the empress wants them dead! Dong-Mala got it. She understood it! But she didn't have any fuckin way out of it. Especially not after word came back that Aramoor had already parked 3-cliff-encampments at the mouth of the Endless Plains of the East. They couldn't just run away and escape the region all together now that Aramoor had placed forces there to prevent that, so!?!?! Dong-Mala gave the order and decided to give it her best shot, while having her two top advisors try to come up with something, anything!? To get their asses out of this mess. It was why Mala-Melina and Mala-Tulane were paid-the-big-perks! And they had no bigger perks than being Dong-Mala's 1st-&-2nd Wives. Dong-Mala figured to leave her two better-halves, the Big-Brains! To figure out a way they could escape extinction from both Lu Family, who she knew was absolutely fuming about being caged up within their own city! And treacherous-ass Empress Aramoor. Who was now just using Lu City as a deathtrap to send her potential milpol-rivals and supposed threats to her throne to Their Deaths! Dong-Mala was certain that she'd be able to handle the military aspects and at least put up a good stall, as Mala-Melina and Mala-Tulane, figured everything out. She led the majority of her hoarde out of her territory and left Mala-Tulane behind as regent to oversee the territory and manage supplies and womanpower to the front, as well as collect information on the going's-on in Ilvala-Prime with their erstwhile empress and see if she can establish contact-ties with other hoardes that may be on Aramoor's hotsided-hoof. She set out sure that she could at least make a good showing of it, but...? When a runner from Andorra-Hoarde reached her and she was just...!? She was just...!? A goddamn bloody-ass mess! What was supposed to have been a calm-&-orderly march to Lu City to take over the cliff-encampments surrounding it from Andorra-Hoarde, turned into a frantic! Disgustingly disorganized race to reach the region before all of Andorra-Hoarde was completely wiped out! Dong-Mala had wanted to put on a good scare-tactic showing of an orderly exchange between Her Hoarde and Inga-Andorra's hoarde. So she could set the tone with the BRT bitches-&-bastards that they are trapped with no chance for reinforcements. No chance for escape. Try to get it into Their Minds that the Queendom of Ilvala can just keep rotating in-&-out fresh hoardes to keep them hemmed in, until they make a critical mistake, but? And everything always kept turning into a big-ole, butt! Nothing could be further from the truth. Aramoor had withheld all kinds of information from Dong-Mala and she found out the hard way when Mala-Melina ordered scouts to go to the frontline of the Ilvala-Invasion and survey the situation. Mala-Melina also sent scouts to collect information from the rest of the Ilvala forces occupying the supposedly conquered BRT. They'd end up reporting that Ilvala forces on the frontlines were fucked. They'd been totally-stonewalled! And hadn't made any actual progress for over four. Years! |
